Discover the Family of the 2019 Lincoln Crossovers and SUVs
The completely redesigned Lincoln Navigator was revealed just last year. Since then, the popular offering has received numerous accolades, including Best Large Luxury SUV from Edmunds’ during the Family Car Awards. Now, you can experience the class-leader firsthand, at College Ford Lincoln.
The 2019 Lincoln Navigator
For 2019, the Lincoln Navigator is offered in two trim levels: Select and Reserve. There are also two different wheelbases. The first is the standard model that measures 3112 mm in length. Buyers looking for extra cargo room can opt for the longer L model that’s stretched to 3342 mm.
Because the Lincoln Navigator was all-new last year, it carries over virtually unchanged for 2019.
The Lincoln Navigator is one of the few SUVs to use an all-aluminum body. Such a structure reduces weight without compromising durability.
But the body is more than just smart – it’s also eye-catching. The exterior features a bold front grille, modern body lines and illuminated badging. Additional noteworthy options include approach detection – a feature that projects the signature Lincoln logo onto the ground – and illuminated running boards.
Inside, the eight-passenger interior features plenty of room for both occupants and payload. Total passenger volume is 4869.1 L in the standard model; 4679.6 L in the extended L wheelbase. Meanwhile, cargo space behind the third-row is 592.75 L in standard versions and 1018.94 L for L variants.
Comfort and convenience
Like the rest of the Lincoln lineup, the Lincoln Navigator is known for luxurious comfort and convenience. Buyers can choose a never-ending list of amenities, such as Active Motion massaging seats with climate control, PowerFold rear seats, wireless device charging and a head-up display. Of course, buttery-soft leather is standard on all models, as is the SYNC touchscreen infotainment system.
All Lincoln Navigator models are powered by an EcoBoost 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine (450 hp, 510 lb.-ft.). An advanced 10-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties, while available four-wheel drive delivers maximum traction.
Owners can fine-tune their driving experience using the selectable Lincoln drive modes. With just the turn of a knob, the system adjusts parameters like the transmission shift points and available adaptive suspension.
The Lincoln Navigator’s capability is on-par with its exceptional performance. When properly equipped, the SUV can tow up to up to 3,946 kg (8,700 lbs).
Naturally, the prestigious Lincoln Navigator offers the latest driver assistance technologies. Standard and available features include:
- Enhanced Active Park Assist
- Lane Keep Assist
- Adaptive cruise control
- Adaptive LED headlamps
- A 360-degree camera
- Forward Sensing
- Reverse Sensing
- Emergency brake assist
A long list of passive safety features is also onboard. The lineup includes equipment like multiple airbags, the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tether Anchors for Children) system and a rearview camera with a washer. There’s also an innovative feature called Auto Hold that reduces the effort needed to keep your vehicle still at stop signs, signals, etc.
